Philosophy on Nutrition
The motivating factor in most diets can be summed up in one word: Aesthetics. We all want to look good. Balance, on the other hand is often neglected or forgotten. Longevity and performance rely on nutrients that fuel and repair our body.
Optimum health is directly related to optimum nutrition. Proper diet consists of three major factors. High protein is necessary to repair damaged tissue, moderate carbohydrates (mainly fibrous) provide fuel for high intensity activity, and very small amounts of fat facilitate vitamin transport and soft tissue protection. Combined together, these facets make up an efficient caloric intake, and, according to individual goals, will provide energy and keep the metabolism burning steadily.
